Pe langa asta,  exercitiu depinde practicantul cu  &#8220;ancorarea&#8221; in pamant.</p>

<p>Exista mai multe variatii de <strong>mapu</strong> , dar in majoritatea lor , coapsele sunt paralele cu solul , picioarele departate si varfurile sunt indreptate inainte . Facut gresit , acest exercitiu face mai mult rau decat bine , in special genunchilor. In cautarile (si durerile) mele legate de subiect , am aflat ca genunchii trebuie sa fie indreptati catre exterior (vezi clip) , ori altfel practicantul risca sa isi accidenteze genunchii .  Exista si variatii cu varfurile indreptate spre exterior , dar cel mai bine ar fi sa va intrebati instructorul despre ce si cum. Mai jos  , un clip care explica pozitionarea corecta pentru  unele arte martiale chinezesti</p>
